1. Research your selected policy issue. In at least one well-written paragraph, summarize the
issue. Be sure to include:
 what the issue is
 who it affects
 varied public perspectives on the issue
o An issue that is affecting the United States right now is the issue with immigration.
The immigration policy that is in place is affecting many families from the coasts of
Florida all the way to California. Donald Trump and his executive order on border
security has affected many immigrants in Florida as Law makers target illegal
aliens and their families.
2. In at least one well-written paragraph, describe government action on the issue. Be sure to
include:
 actions that have been taken on the policy issue, including legislation and executive
actions
 how the branches of government, bureaucracy, and interest groups interact in forming
policy around the issue
o President Donald Trump has taken many executive actions regarding the
immigration policy. He created the executive order of ,” Border Security and
Immigration Enforcement Improvement” which includes limits on asylum,
enhanced border security along the US-Mexico border, and the construction of the
2,000 mile border wall. Donald Trump has also taken action on Executive Order
13597 which was created by Obama which made sure to allow 80% of visa
applications to be interviewed within 3 weeks and he took action by deleting this
policy and that means visas can be ignored.
