Where t is in years, and R is the revenue in thousands. Answer the following questions below regarding each
company
Question 1 : State any restrictions on the variable t
Since function denotes money, and money received and the time cannot be negative, we can say that t is always
greater than or equal to 0.
Thus condition on variable t is t≥0.
 

Question 2 : When will Company A receive more money than Company B?
If Company A receive more money than Company B,
Then fA(t) > fB(t), and t > 2t
As this condition is not satisfied for any value of t, Company A can never receive more money than Company B.
