• SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE STUDENTS IN THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF HIS /HER DESIGN PROJECT REPORT: 1) The preparation of the solution/calculation of the Design Project shall be done by the student(s) in a neat, presentable and professional manner. 2) All detail solution/calculation shall be written manually in a Calculation sheet similar to the one provided in page 5 of this Design Project paper. Typewritten solution/calculation is prohibited and will not be marked. 3) Page 2 to page 4 of this Design Project paper shall be the covering pages of the solution / calculation sheets to be submitted by the student(s) along with his/her manual detail solution/calculation. 4) The “Summary of Answers” in page 3 to page 4 of this Design Project paper should all be properly filled up by the student(s). The numbers filled therein should reflect the calculated answers of the student(s). 5) The detail analysis, design calculation and solution for crosswind direction (Ө = 00 ) must be submitted by the student(s). Another separate detail analysis, design calculation and solution for longitudinal wind direction (Ө = 900 ) shall also be submitted by the student. 6) The Design Report shall include the submission of the scale drawings (Scale 1:100MTS) of Figure 3a, Figure 3b and Figure 3c as shown in page 6 and page 7 of this Design Project paper, including the scale drawings of the structural details of the Portal Frame. 7) The use of rule pad paper or tore pages of Notebook or equivalent, as solution/calculation sheets are prohibited. Any submission using the rule pad paper or the tore pages of notebook shall be subject to deduction of 30 percentage marks in the Report. 8) The use of Computer Software (Space gass, Microstrand, STAAD, Microsoft excel sheet or any equivalent computer software) is not allowed for the academic submission of the Report. Any submission using any computer software shall be subject to deduction of 30 percentage marks in the Report. 9) The due date of submission of the full Design Project Report shall be on September 28, 2020. 10) There shall be no time extension in the submission of Design Project Report and late submission from the students shall be subject to a mark deduction of 5 marks per calendar day of delay
