I. Introduction

It is a fact that not all work can be done by my man alone. According to Green (2014), the heavy equipment today is a basic part for a cost-productive and on time development or construction. Whenever an organization is fabricating any kind of a developmental structure, heavy equipment is included. Heavy equipment finishes an uncompromising assignment in the most effortless manner with limited hazard and furthermore lessens the requirement for manual labor. There are such a large number of types of equipment utilized in the construction region. When you think about the tasks to be done in construction, you should know that there will be such a significant number of types of equipment that will be needed. It is fundamental for engineers and development specialists to improve their work and have accommodation and improvement with the assistance of the different types of equipment.

The main role of civil engineers is to develop and conserve the environment in which we live in. This includes planning and constructing infrastructures like roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbours, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water systems as well. The aforementioned are designed and built to withstand different weather conditions. However, construction of such will not be feasible without the aid of heavy equipment including but not limited to bulldozers, backhoe loaders, trenchers, dump trucks, and excavators. Excavators are used in extracting objects from the ground by digging. It is also functional in transporting large materials and removing construction wastes (Use of excavator in construction, 2016). Primarily, an excavator is composed of two parts, a driving base wherein an operator is seated in a small cab that is attached to a base and an arm with a supplementary component intended for excavation. This mechanical arm is being controlled by a hydraulic force generated by a hydraulic system.

As future engineers, it is important to perceive the dynamics of the context behind these for later use. When an equipment—such as an excavator—is bearing a load, the extra mass results to displacement, velocity, and acceleration.
