Abstract
Military spouses are confronted with multiple responsibilities daily. These demands intensify
when their spouses are deployed. Whether deployed for training, other job-related tasking or into
a combat zone. By extension, military families tend to respond differently and adapt to these
stressors differently than civilian families. This demands coping with dynamic changes that have
been described as adequate or maladaptive and others not being able to adjust as expected or
instead not being able to cope with the changes. The deployment of one’s spouse is also affiliated
with mixed feelings such as anger, fear, joy, loneliness, anticipation, and relief. While t
