• Samiul Al Sadif 22101302 S20 (Tenth Graded Assignment) Rabindranath Tagore, a renowned author, authored the book "The Home and the World." The work offered Rabindranath Tagore additional focus and positively affected his literary career. This book was published in 1915, and his nephew subsequently translated it in 1919. It is an ‘Autobiographical Novel’. Throughout this book, the author demonstrates how some responsible movements can become irresponsible, leading to riots and other negative outcomes. In general, Rabindranath was a pragmatic author who produced works that were entirely relevant to rural people. He discussed an internal social truth. By writing about various social and national issues in his other works, it is clear that he attempted to persuade everyone to listen to his message that the problem needed to be remedied. The book is based on the Swadeshi Movement of Bengali Nationalism based on the partition of Bengal. The story is circulated among these three characters Bimala, Nikhilesh and Sandip. Lord Curzon's 1905 break of the British Divide and Rule strategy in India, which devastated Bengal, was a major factor in the emergence of the Swadeshi movement. The Swadeshi movement prevented the British from gaining control of India. In order for Indian identity and independence to flourish, Indians were ordered to stop purchasing British goods. This movement was crucial because it resulted in “a new spirit in India” and it also aided India's independence from Britain, which is largely to blame for the ensuing terrible poverty. The narrative, however, discusses its detrimental effects. British products were reasonably priced and of great quality, making them accessible to the underprivileged. The quality of the Indian products is still superior despite their high cost. Nikhil supported the underprivileged and did not impose Swadeshi in his realm. U
