Fill a Position:
Project managers
Play an important role in attracting and hiring the most qualified individuals. For this
project we will try to create a diverse workforce that promotes multiple perspectives and
reflects the communities we serve.
The steps below will guide us through the process to verify the need for a new position,
create an effective job posting, and begin the engagement process with a recruiter.
1) Consult with project manager and sponsor about the need for a new or vacant
position, since we might have other options to help you fulfill a business need.
2) Determine the appropriate job title based on the position responsibilities and
required skills. Discuss the job title recommendation with project manager and
follow your existing line of business approval process for new job openings.
3) Complete the new position request, including job opening details, a preliminary
job description, qualifications, and approval attestations.
4) Submit the New Position Request form by completing the New Job Opening
Request using the tools available. A recruiter will be assigned to the request and
will then schedule an engagement session to discuss the following:
Budget and general information
Affirmative Action goals
Recruiting process, compliance, and expectations
The position and its qualifications
