1. Complete the following table of observations and chemical equations as you react various metals with 6 M HCl. You
only need to report the net ionic reactions, not the overall reactions.

Al When Al is immersed in HCl the metal reacts
immediately and the metal dissolves in HCl
concentration creating a greyish color

Mg was dissolved vigorously in HCl solution

Zn
The dissolving of Zn in HCl was somewhat
faster compared to Fe with the production of
Zn+2H++2Cl-→Zn2++2Cl-+H2
