Diagnostic Guidelines
This section is comprised of a set of support ticket scenarios for which you are playing the role
of senior network engineer
You have a fixed time of 60 minutes to complete the section, no more, no less.
The final score of this section is combines with the Troubleshooting and Configuration section to
comprise your final Pass or Fail status on the CCIE lab exam.
A candidate is required to achieve a minimum score in both sections and achieve an overall cut
score to pass the CCIE certification.
Each ticket explicitly mentions what is expected of you.
Carefully read and analyze all documents provided, then extract and correlate information in
order to make your choice among the options that are presented in the scenario.
Select your answer(s) according to the requirement(s) of each ticket.
All tickets are independent from each other, which means that the resolution of a ticket does
not depend on the resolution of any other ticket.
None of the available options are violating any exam-level guidelines.
Diagnostic Tips and Tricks
Use the features provided by the Web interface to minimize scrolling when browsing documents
and resources
o The left-menu is always visible and providing one-click access to any resource
o Open resources either in a popup or inline with the main web page
