Walmart went public in 1970, with the income from this the company steadily expanded (Our History, 2020). In 1996 Walmart opened the first stores in China (Our History, 2020). Walmart continually expanded globally over the duration the company has been in operation. This organization is well-known across the world. Walmart employs more than 2.1 million people around the world (Goldman, 2020). This retail chain has 8,500 retail stores around the globe (Goldman, 2020). This organization is the majority of individuals’ top places to shop. Walmart is considered a one-stop-shop due to the many products that are available for sale. On average over 200 million customers visit Walmart weekly (Goldman, 2020). Walmart has many different departments in their supermarket stores. The various departments consist of grocery, household products, electronics, garden, and automotive. The variety of items one can purchase from Walmart attracts many consumers. Walmart is a third party retailer in which means they sell a variety of different product lines. Walmart being publicly traded greatly increased the organizations’ value. Walmart has been financially stable over 50 years now. The overview of the financial statements gives on a better understanding of the ability for Walmart’s’ continuous success. Financial Analysis
