So, let me introduce myself. My name is Derek Boone and I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have owned and rented real estate since 2016. However, I didn’t dive deep into real estate sales and transactions until 2017. I have consistently increased the volume of deals and deal size every single year in that timeframe. One
of the main reasons for my quick success is my ability to seek out information from mentors
and people a little more knowledgeable in real estate than I am. Some of you reading this are
already on the same path that I was and still am on. Remember that if you are the smartest
person in your circle, You are in the wrong circle! What I did was make sure I consistently
stayed around next level thinkers/executers and even paid for classes, information, and
trainings. I literally spent tens of thousands of dollars on my personal development and
information to see myself grow. Another thing about me that has helped tremendously is
having one of my biggest supporters and partners be a part of my everyday life, my wife.
Now I am not telling you to get married but what I am saying is that your support, motivation,
and good mental health should be not just outside of the home but inside the home as
well. Trust me you cannot work well or close tons of deals if your partner or household is not
bringing good/positive energy towards you.
One last thing that I have to tell you because this may be the exact thing that keeps some
people going is that before 2016/2017, I was a college dropout from Penn State Abington
with a .8 GPA (yes, that number is correct) and worked at a retirement home making $10
per hour. At this point in my life I was extremely broke, defeated, but most of all fed up! I told
myself that my next move (real estate) “has to work or it has to work” as one of my mentors,
Nehemiah Davis always say. I told myself that I will literally die before I give up on myself
because; 1) School was not for me and 2) I did not have the credentials to get a corporate
job. I am telling you this because you may be in the same situation I was in and I want you to
know with consistent action things will change 1000%. What I want you to do right now is just
worry about laying one brick every day and soon enough your dream will be built!
Now, sorry for talking your head off but let’s get into the good stuff that is going to help turn
your real estate game to the next level!!
