Test instructions:
The test must be handwritten on paper and then scanned and submitted to Brightspace,
following the instructions found on the last page of the test. Tests that are not handwritten
on paper will not be marked, and the mark of zero will be recorded.
It is preferred that you print this examination paper and write your answers directly on it.
However, if, for whatever reason, this is not possible, it is acceptable to write your answers
on any letter-size paper. In that case, the order of questions must remain the same,
pages must be numbered, and the title page, properly filled and scanned, must still be
present.
Tests without a properly prepared title page will not be marked, and the mark of
zero will be recorded. Specifically, the title page must be printed on letter-size paper,
and the name-ID section at the top of the page must be filled by hand. The certification
found at the bottom of the page must also be filled by hand and signed. If you are
unable to print the title page, you must reproduce it in its entirety on paper and by
hand, as a separate sheet, and then fill it by hand as stated above.
No questions about the content of the test will be answered during the test.
Closed book/notes.
No calculators.
Maximum possible score: 41 points.
The expectation of students:
The test is to be completed individually by each student. Specifically, students are not to
discuss the test with others or cooperate on the completion of the test with others, including
other students in this course, in any manner. Students are expected to follow the instructions
on the test and use only the course material or resources as permitted. A commitment to
a high standard of personal integrity and professionalism is expected of all engineers and is
equally expected of those working towards a career in engineering.
