Explain the terms (a) numerator, (b) denominator.
a) The numerator is the part of the function that comes to the equality size portions. Numerator comes from the Latin word “ enumerate”. The numerator stays at the top. For example, numerator 2 describes that 2 equal parts have been taken from the function.
b) The denominator is the bottom part of the function. The Latin word “nomen” has
formed the word “Denominator”. The term names function that is described by the numerator. It describes the parts of a whole is broken into. If a denominator is 3 in a function then explains that it is broken into four equal parts.
