• Immigration Policy (Pros and Cons) PROS: ● Cultural diversity expands ● Immigration greatly benefits families within the country ● Potential entrepreneurs ● Unpopular jobs get filled ● Increases GDP ● Helps to create a global market ● Local economies see much more diversity CONS: ● Immigration can easily cause overpopulation ● Overpopulation can cause an increase in renting and housing prices ● Local social services may be pressured ● Increases the transmissions of diseases ● Conflict may arise due to rapid immigration ● Human rights violations can be caused ● Pressures on education and health sectors WHERE DO YOU STAND ON IMMIGRATION?
