Executive summary
This research aimed to examine Amazon's Knowledge and Information Management. The
notion of knowledge management and the knowledge management processes to be followed
for organisational development were discussed in this report. This report will also look at
knowledge management models, theories, and methods to explore Amazon's information and
knowledge management process. The crisis has accelerated digital transformation, which
already existed on Amazon's action plan, but digital transformation does more than automate
processes and provide remote labour. The Covid-19 outbreak's effects on society and the
market compelled Amazon and other corporate entities to adjust to the changing climate.
Those who were not forced to shut down and halt their work should learn to work diversely
and adopt new behaviours. In a broad sense, Amazon is structured to perform well but not to
learn or generate as much. These two activities appear to have never existed in Amazon, but
they are critical to the currently even more pressing transition. In this ecosystem, knowledge
management is a critical organisational capability for responding quickly amid uncertainty
and establishing a new management threshold for the years ahead.
