• OVERVIEW In this lab you will evaluate and improve (“optimize”) the code for a program which calculates roll and pitch based on X, Y and Z accelerations from the FRDM-KL25Z’s on-board three-axis accelerometer. Examine the main function in main.c for details. The program has built-in profiling support. The profiler samples the program counter many times per second (defined by PROFILER_SAMPLE_FREQ_HZ in profile.h). A test run reads the accelerations and computes roll and pitch NUM_TESTS times (defined in main.c). PROCEDURE The program you will “optimize” calculates the roll and pitch of the FRDM-KL25Z board based on the X, Y and Z accelerations measured by the on-board accelerometer. The accelerometer (MMA8451Q) and the MCU are connected with an I2C interface. Enter your answers to the numbered questions in the CSV spreadsheet.
