Curiosity: “Body on Drugs”
Learning Target: Identify the major psychoactive drug categories (e.g., depressants, stimulants) and classify specific drugs, including their
psychological and physiological effects.
Directions: In this episode of Curiosity, the biological and behavioral effects of psychoactive drugs are tested through a series of experiments. The
experiments were conducted with the consent of regular drug users. They were asked to participate in four controlled experiments; driving,
assembling furniture, navigating a “smoke house,” and lifting heavy items.
