1. Locomotor: The locomotor skill that I observe my subjects perform was jumping. I placed a
measuring tape on the concrete ground to measure the distance that my subject. I had her to
jump 3 times in a total of 28 seconds. She seem nervous but she gave it her best. I followed the
observational plan for the standing long jump figure 7.12 on page 144. The results from my
observation: Subject 1 both heels come off the ground and her arms extend then partially flex.
The individual structural constraints the subjects height, weight, muscle mass and leg length. The
functional constraint for my subject is her determination to do her best.
Ballistic: The balistcistic that I observed was sidearm striking. I use the observation plan for
sidearm striking figure 8.15 on page 177. I observed my subject step into the hit and apply a
linear force to the strike why standing sideways to allow for the side arm swing. My subject
swing's arms and move through with a full range of motion this is a move that advance strikers
make. Then my subject steps into the swing and uses differentiated trunk rotations.
The structural constraint for ballistic for my subject would be her body’s strength, length of

The functional constraint for the subject is her hand and eye coordination. She seem to have a
little trouble focusing but she was very determined. She did not give want to quit until she got a
hit.
Manipulative skills: The manipulative skills that I observe was catching. I followed the
observation plan for catching on page 197. I stood in front of my subject and tossed the ball to
