1. Android system has several application building blocks, such as, Activity, Intent
and IntentReceiver, Notification, Service, and ContentProvider. Based on your
understanding on these building blocks, briefly answer the following questions.
a) Which building block(s) will you use in your app to share data with activities
of external android mobile applications?
b) How do the used building block(s) in your app share data with external android
mobile applications? Explain with a real-world application scenario.

2. Suppose that you are developing a mobile application for registering a person as
an employee of a company. You will have to design a registration form for
collecting the related information of an employee. Android provides several
layouts, such as, ConstraintLayout, RelativeLayout, TableLayout, GridLayout,
FrameLayout, and LinearLayout for arranging the labels and input fields of the
form according to the desired UI wireframe. Now, based on your understanding
on the android UI, answer the following questions.
a) Which layout(s) will you use to ensure the best performance?
b) List all techniques with examples to make the height and width of the abovementioned UI design responsive for any kind of android mobile devices.

3. Write XML codes to achieve the desired UIs according to the specifications
mentioned in following questions.
a) Write the XML code to place the user’s name and the password field as the
child views of a RelativeLayout to depict the Login Wireframe given in the
following Figure 1. (Note: you don’t need to write XML code for root layout)
b) Rewrite the XML code below by replacing all layouts with only the
TableLayout to get the equivalent Sample Wireframe given in Figure 2. (Note:
You may use short form of the parameters’ names, such as write “L_W”
instead of “android:layout_width”)
