INTRODUCTION
Until today, Malaysia had been through 3 waves of the coronavirus pandemic. The
ending of this pandemic is still blurry, and no one can even put an exact date for it. All health
sectors around the world are struggling to find the vaccine and the antivirus. The
government have implemented some policies to holding up the economy of each country.
Even so, there are still operations, projects, and events that must be kept running
during this pandemic. Operations and projects which are vital to our country development on
many aspects, cannot be stopped. Covid-19 pandemic has affected Malaysia drastically. The
impact is even more obvious if we look to our economy and transportation sector as these
two sectors are strongly related. The transportation sector is an important component in the
economic growth. An efficient transportation system can lead to reduction of utilize cost in
economic sector.
The pandemic gave many problems that can slow down logistic and transportation
operations. It can cause absenteeism, change patterns of commerce, and can interrupt the
supply chain network around the globe. This can give bad impacts on the sustainability and
continuity of transportation operations. So, generating the solutions in advance can help to
address the issues that specifically related to logistics and transportations.
Even though we are struggling to continue surviving during this pandemic, we can
bring new ideas and solutions on the table to overcome those issues. There can always be a
solution for any problem. Transport organizations need to solve the issues quickly as logistic
and transportation operations are a long-term operation that needs proper planning and
specific preparedness to respond effectively to the issues or problems.
