In this worksheet, m1 = mass of ball 1, v1 = velocity of ball 1, m2 = mass of ball 2, and v2 = velocity of ball 2.

1. The equation relating mass m1, velocity v1, and momentum p1 is p1 = (m1)(v1)
2. The equation relating mass m2, velocity v2, and momentum p2 is p2 = (m2)(v2)
3. Set elasticity = 100%. Click the play button.
(a). Does the collision change the mass m1? ________________
