Read the book "Little Failure" and watch the film "Everything Is Illuminated". The book and film are quite different from each other. However, they both treat the immigration experience to a certain extent and the cultural tensions between Russian and American culture to a great extent. Read the book and to view the film, and then to consider how each author (the film was adapted from a novel by the same name by the author Jonathan Safran Foer based on his experiences) addresses the cultural tensions they face and/or observe between their mother (Russian) culture and American culture.
