Question 1 Specification The goal of this design is to create an automated sprinkler system based upon several variables. In this design, a hierarchical approach is taken to create a simpler circuit. The design of this circuit will be split into three sections; pump, flow and seven where there will be a separate circuit controlling each part. The flow circuit will be further broken down to each flow state and a circuit will be generated for each of them. The inputs for this circuit are: - MORN (1 bit) – variable to turn pump on/of - EVEN (1 bit) – variable to turn pump on/of - RAIN (1 bit) – variable to turn pump on/of - HUMID (2 bit) – variable to determine flow rate - SALINE (1 bit) – variable to determine flow rate - DRY (1 bit) – variable to determine flow rate - EMPTY (1 bit) – variable to turn pump on/of The modes are: - STANDBY – normal of condition - PUMPING – normal on condition - ALARM – abnormal of condition
