Valiente BSA II Gender & Development December 10, 2020 Reaction Paper on The Impossible Dream HOPEFUL NOISE: DREAMS OF POSSIBILITY Women have been undergoing a state of injustice and treatment that can be closely associated with taken-for-granted individuals for they have been doing their utmost best to become steadfast and ready with everyday life of a woman, a worker, a wife and a mother. These roles play a very significant influence towards the growth of the people around them, basically women can be called as “Wonderwoman” due to the intense workload they need to cater and the lingering insufficient wage they can muster from their jobs. With the lack of beneficial amenities and the seemingly large responsibilities they have, most of their energy is being expended for the benefit of others which consequently brings about the deterioration of their well-being and beauty. However, women aren’t the problem which led to this abuse and facility of lifestyle, they are just doing what they can do and they do it with pride and the goal of ensuring that their family is being brought up well. Being brought up well is also due to the influence of following one’s dreams which paves the way for women to have that ensuing desire to just give everything for what they long for. The short film strongly shows the imbalance when it comes to men and women wherein the reality of being underpaid and being overworked for women is being specified which does not promote an environment for women to speak their mind and pursue their dreams. In addition, men have become privileged to be at the TOP of the hierarchy when it comes to respect and when it comes to the factors th
